Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Salary: $130,000 - $262,500 per year (depending on location)

What you will do

• Lead a team of software engineers responsible for the delivery and site operations of financial services web platforms.
• Serve as the technical lead on client calls and escalations, translating complex topics for stakeholders.
• Champion the adoption of agentic workflows and AI-assisted tooling for coding, ticket management, and compliance.
• Drive SRE best practices, including observability, incident response, and operational maturity.
• Improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and testing strategies across the team.
• Collaborate with designers, data science, and business partners to align on priorities and outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, including mentoring and career development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, and Node.js.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Understanding of web application architecture, RESTful services, and microservices.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience with SOC2 operations.
• Must be based in or able to work from Charlotte, NC or New York, NY.
