What you will do

• Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and enamels to metal and steel surfaces using brushes, rollers, and other tools.
• Prepare surfaces by filling cracks and holes with caulk or putty and smoothing them with sanding machines.
• Apply primers and seals to prepare new metal or wood surfaces for final coats.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine specific job requirements.
• Calculate required material amounts and estimate costs based on surface measurements.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure all production floor safety standards are met.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in a related industrial painting field.
• Expertise in selecting, mixing, and applying various painting materials and techniques.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Fontana, CA.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders/scaffolding, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish among colors and wear required PPE (respirators, safety glasses).
