What you will do

• Lead the design and optimization of synthesis processes for advanced anode materials.
• Analyze complex battery cycling data to correlate cell-level performance with material properties.
• Conduct structural analysis and characterization of structure-property relationships in Li-ion materials.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to industrialize lab results and ensure compatibility with high-volume scale-up.
• Translate R&D findings into actionable technical takeaways for management and operations.
• Refine analytical methods to ensure accurate and repeatable evaluation of materials.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience in materials-centric industries (e.g., semiconductors, battery tech, specialty chemicals).
• Proven track record of scaling synthesis and process development for battery or advanced composite materials.
• Demonstrated experience in technology transfer from research to production.
• Proficiency in Designed Experiments (DoE), research statistics, and computational data analysis.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and wear PPE (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes) daily.

Nice to have

• Experience with JMP and Python for deep data analysis.
