What you will do

• Develop and refine AI-driven clinical tools for notes, risk adjustment (HCC capture), and prior authorization using prompt engineering.
• Define "clinically meaningful" outputs, including acceptable error rates and quality thresholds.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to integrate medical insights into AI models.
• Build evaluation tools for hallucination detection, omission detection, and medication safety checks.
• Translate clinical needs into technical specifications and data models.
• Monitor clinical guideline updates to evolve product behavior based on new standards or payer policies.

Requirements

• MD, PA, or DO degree with direct experience in clinical practice.
• Deep understanding of medical documentation, clinical workflows, and medical terminology.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and provide structured feedback.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and HIPAA regulations.
• Hands-on experience in clinical data validation and quality assessment.
• Must be willing to work from the San Francisco office at least 3x per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in software engineering, specifically prompt engineering or AI model development.
• Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Previous experience with AI-powered clinical documentation or decision support systems.
• Published research in AI, machine learning, or healthcare technology.
