Field Sales Engineer

TL;DR

Field Sales Engineer (SaaS/Commerce): Driving revenue through technical sales support, solution design, and customer demonstrations for retail and hospitality platforms with an accent on competitive positioning, deal strategy, and ecosystem integrations. Focus on scoping complex technical solutions, managing RFPs, and ensuring seamless handovers to implementation teams.

Location: Based in Manchester with regular travel across the North of England and Midlands. Right to work in the UK required.

What you will do

• Provide remote and on-site sales support including discoveries, demos, and customer meetings across the North and Midlands.
• Partner with Account Executives to design solutions, assess risks, and drive deal closure.
• Support strategic accounts with technical insights for retention and expansion.
• Handle RFPs/RFIs, trade shows, partner demos, and product feedback to Product teams.
• Maintain demo environments and collaborate with sales leaders on regional priorities.
• Document technical decisions and ensure smooth transitions to implementation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Exposure to cloud-based SaaS in hospitality, retail, or adjacent industries.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry; hands-on restaurant experience valued.
• Excellent communication with technical and business audiences.
• Basic understanding of APIs and integrations.
• Fluency in English; right to work in the UK.
