What you will do

• Lead end-to-end innovation and early-phase development projects from pre-study and concept to validated outcomes.
• Drive technical pre-studies and feasibility investigations for next-generation products and functions.
• Manage concept development, rapid prototyping, and iterative design cycles.
• Apply and develop Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to structure project maturity and progression.
• Lead cross-functional teams across R&D, product, and business domains to ensure alignment and shared ownership.
• Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and risk management throughout all phases until handover to R&D development.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Engineering or a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in medtech R&D or other regulated industries, preferably with medical device or critical care products.
• Solid experience in product development of complex, integrated (embedded) systems.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology development and facilitating experts.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Must be based in Solna, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience in concept development and rapid prototyping.
• Experience with iterative design and design reviews.
• Knowledge of customer workflows and UX validation.
• Strong understanding of simulation and modeling.
