What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 10 engineers across three product groups, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Manage performance, conduct 1:1s, and facilitate career development conversations for direct reports.
• Contribute production-ready C# code as an embedded IC, shipping features and fixing bugs.
• Drive architectural design and technical decision-making regarding system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold quality standards and accelerate team learning.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver complex software projects from planning to production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in C#/.NET.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience, including direct responsibilities for hiring and performance.
• Proven ability to remain hands-on as an IC while carrying a management workload.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, system design, and distributed systems.
• Location: Must be based in the UK, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Serbia, Poland, Italy, France, or USA.
• Time Zone: Must overlap with Eastern Time Zone (GMT-4) from 8 AM to 1 AM M-F.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud management or virtualization platforms (Azure AVD, Windows 365, Intune).
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architectures and their operational challenges.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, or other modern frontend technologies.
• Background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience scaling engineering teams through rapid headcount growth.
