What you will do

• Lead the fabrication of prototype components, sub-assemblies, and complete vehicles using diverse materials and techniques.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to plan and implement precise fabrication processes.
• Design and develop custom fixtures, tooling, and jigs to support assembly activities.
• Integrate instrumentation, sensor systems, and product electronics into test vehicles for data acquisition.
• Perform mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive systems including powertrains and chassis.
• Mentor junior fabricators and technicians while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in MIG/TIG welding, manual and CNC machining, sheet metal forming, and composite layup.
• Proficiency in reading complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Deep knowledge of automotive mechanical systems (powertrains, chassis, suspension) and electrical wiring harnesses.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a technical team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Pasadena, California.
