Salary: $175,000 - $255,000 per year

What you will do

  • Provide subject matter expertise on recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and wage & hour laws.
  • Manage HR compliance, employee escalations, and privileged internal investigations.
  • Create and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage and resolve employment litigation, including EEOC/DFEH complaints and prelitigation demands.
  • Partner with local Legal and HR teams to provide global employment law support.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and global quality regulations.

Requirements

  • J.D. and admission to the California state bar (or ability to gain admission within 90 days).
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience with expertise in California and federal employment law.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
