Salary: $93,000 – $129,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and supervise preventive maintenance plans, conduct failure analysis, define corrective actions, and generate improvement opportunities.
• Ensure health, safety, and environment standards, perform inspections, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage performance of direct reports, foster employee engagement, and maintain visible presence in the mill.
• Draw up maintenance cost budgets, guarantee technical resource availability, and manage maintenance information systems.
• Support engineering in researching and starting up new equipment and provide technical support to other areas.
• Motivate, coach, and develop staff while managing HR activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, trades work, or hands-on engineering technician.
• Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
• Work schedule: 8hr days with flexibility, on-call rotation, performed in steel mill.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC, VFD, AC/DC motors, sensors, and high frequency heating equipment.
• Experience with SAP PM.
