Salary: $74,000 – $87,000 per year

What you will do

  • Support high-voltage testing activities, including setup, execution, calibration, and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in test planning, proposal development, and cost estimation using IEEE, IEC, CSA, and ANSI standards.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with technicians, engineers, and clients to meet schedules.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and resolve technical issues during test execution.
  • Conduct failure analysis investigations under senior engineer supervision and contribute to test reporting.
  • Maintain and improve laboratory equipment, safety practices, and internal processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Eligible for registration (or currently registered) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • Strong commitment to safety in laboratory and field environments.
  • Ability to write clear technical notes and contribute to test reports.
  • Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills for teamwork.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to electrical testing, power systems, or lab environments.
  • Familiarity with transmission or distribution equipment.
  • Experience from co-ops, labs, capstone projects, or field work.
