What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on plasma etch systems (Plasma-Therm or similar).
• Diagnose and resolve issues across vacuum systems, RF power delivery, and gas flow systems.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic subsystems, including motors, pumps, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Partner with Process and Equipment Engineers to optimize tools and improve process stability.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of recurring failure modes.
• Mentor junior technicians and develop technical SOPs and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Direct experience with plasma etch systems (e.g., Plasma-Therm, Lam, Applied Materials).
• Strong understanding of vacuum systems, RF/plasma systems, and gas delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic domains.
• Experience with PLC systems, sensors, and system-level diagnostics.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Plantation, FL.

Nice to have

• Specific experience with Plasma-Therm etch tools.
• Prior support of high-volume semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Experience with RF matching networks, mass flow controllers (MFCs), and vacuum pumps.
