What you will do

• Lead the technical implementation of policies within the Business Rules Engine (BRE), translating business requirements into automated logic.
• Develop frameworks and dashboards to monitor system efficacy and the impact of policy enforcement on the marketplace.
• Identify and reduce off-platform transactions through rigorous data analysis and targeted operational tests.
• Design and execute experimental frameworks to test new marketplace rules before full-scale rollout.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align the BRE with product roadmaps.
• Define and monitor KPIs related to policy compliance and revenue leakage to inform business strategy.

Requirements

• BS/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent analytical experience.
• 2-4 years of experience using analytics to drive key business decisions in strategy, marketing, operations, or finance.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large volumes of data.
• Experience building data visualizations using tools like Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, or Sigma.
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the San Francisco or New York City offices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Experience presenting findings to C-level executives.
• Proficiency in statistical techniques (regression, power analysis, clustering, etc.).
• Technical understanding of data warehousing and data pipelining solutions.
• Experience working within a marketplace business model.
