What you will do

• Build and own backend features in TypeScript microservices (hexagonal architecture, event-driven) and core expense platform
• Design reliable, observable systems with production-first mindset including testing, monitoring, and incident response
• Collaborate with PM, EM, Tech Lead, and frontend/mobile engineers to ship features across web, iOS, and Android
• Contribute to greenfield architecture on Travel platform (event sourcing, async patterns, third-party integrations)
• Navigate and improve legacy monolith on Expenses side pragmatically
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor fellow engineers

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken English (business language)
• 5+ years in software development (+2 years for Senior)
• Strong backend generalist comfortable with TypeScript/Node.js (or equivalent, willing to ramp up)
• Experience or interest in event-driven architecture (Kafka, async patterns, message queues)
• Ability to work with both microservices and monoliths
• Production-minded focus on testing, observability, reliability, and translating business concepts to technical solutions

• Experience with payment systems, booking APIs, or travel tech
