Salary: $160K-$180K

What you will do

• Lead the global audience strategy and integrate discoverability across all digital channels and platforms.
• Oversee the Audience Development team and establish best practices for search results, answer engines, and nascent technologies.
• Develop and optimize growth strategies for owned and distributed surfaces including web, app, newsletters, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Editorial teams to align on distribution, engagement, and KPI frameworks.
• Advocate for brand visibility and authority signaling within generative AI ecosystems.
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of full-time staff and project-based freelancers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in audience, content, or growth strategy for a digital publisher, tech nonprofit, or mission-driven brand.
• 6+ years of experience managing and mentoring teams in highly matrixed environments.
• Proven experience working within a nonprofit environment and with commerce or shopping sites.
• Proficiency with multiple search analytics tools and experience leading newsletter programs.
• Must be based in the USA (specifically in the states where the company is registered to do business).
• Not eligible for sponsorship or relocation assistance.
