What you will do

• Track medical publishing trends, translate insights into portfolio strategies, and identify innovation opportunities in content delivery and clinical workflows.
• Drive proactive identification, structuring, and scaling of society and institutional partnerships, including agreements and early-stage opportunities.
• Provide expert guidance to Publishing Directors on high-value deals and develop standardized tools for partnership lifecycle management.
• Monitor STM/healthcare policy developments like open access mandates and assess impacts on commercial models and operations.
• Contribute to AI strategy in publishing, evaluate use cases for editorial efficiency, and ensure alignment with research integrity standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, product, legal, operations, and compliance teams to standardize processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid (8 days/month) in NLD, GBR, or DEU offices
• Significant experience in medical, clinical, or STM publishing (healthcare preferred)
• Expertise in publishing innovation, society partnerships/business development, or portfolio strategy
• Strong knowledge of healthcare publishing policy, open access, funder mandates, and research integrity
• Familiarity with AI/digital transformation in clinical information contexts
• Excellent analytical, communication, and influence skills in matrixed organizations

Nice to have

• Experience with M&A-related publishing activities
• Direct engagement with clinical healthcare stakeholders
