Senior Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure/Cloud): Define and automate runtime infrastructure including networks, databases, proxies, and firewalls as code across cloud and on-premises environments with an accent on security, reliability, and self-service platforms. Focus on designing robust monitoring, logging, alerting systems, championing CI/CD practices, and driving automation to empower engineering teams.

Location: Sant Joan Despí. Hybrid with 3 days remote work (Mon–Thu 8:30–17:30, Fri 8:30–15:30).

What you will do

• Define and automate runtime infrastructure (networks, databases, proxies, firewalls) as code in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Apply network and infrastructure security best practices for secure, reliable systems.
• Design, implement, and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for application ownership.
• Champion CI/CD pipelines, supporting teams in building, securing, QA, packaging, and releasing applications.
• Drive automation, self-service capabilities, and company-wide innovation.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (especially Terraform).
• Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comfortable in Linux/Unix with system internals knowledge.
• Skilled in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) and basic networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, HA).
• Experience with GitOps tools; familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Security-by-design mindset with knowledge of infrastructure/app security, compliance, incident response.
• Strong communicator, fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Collaborative team player with analytical, proactive problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
