What you will do

• Lead discovery workshops to define target-state architectures, integration strategies, and AI posture.
• Own the architecture narrative with client executives, translating technical trade-offs into business outcomes.
• Integrate architectural checkpoints into the SDLC, ensuring alignment with Agile/DevOps or hybrid methodologies.
• Partner with engineering leads to sequence delivery, manage dependencies, and define migration strategies.
• Define operational acceptance criteria, including monitoring for LLM paths and incident management hooks.
• Govern engagement-scoped risks, including security, data residency, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading architecture on enterprise consulting or transformation programs.
• Proven ability to facilitate discovery with ambiguous sponsors and produce decision-ready architecture artifacts.
• Deep expertise in IA solution domains: integration, API architecture, data platforms, cloud, and security.
• Hands-on experience with LLM solution risks, including evaluation, monitoring, and PII boundaries.
• Strong executive consulting presence with the ability to manage constructive tension under client scrutiny.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Columbia, MD.

• Experience in regulated industries or environments with complex legacy estates.
• Partnership record with engineering directors on forward-deployed programs.
• Experience bridging applications with Databricks or Snowflake-centric analytics.
