TL;DR

Staff Overhead Transmission Line Structural Engineer (Energy): Designing and analyzing high-voltage transmission infrastructure (345kV+) with an accent on structural steel and foundations. Focus on HVDC and 765kV projects, applying advanced engineering techniques to ensure system reliability and quality.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in or be able to relocate to Overland Park, KS or Creve Coeur, MO, US

What you will do

  • Perform design engineering and analysis for transmission scopes, including 345kV+ rebuild and greenfield projects.
  • Develop complex calculations and technical recommendations for equipment and materials based on industry standards.
  • Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Provide technical guidance and review work for lower-level engineering team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain positive client relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Professional registration or licensure (or active pursuit thereof).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

  • Strong proficiency and experience with PLS CADD.
  • Experience with the design of utility-scale electrical transmission systems.
  • Expertise in structural design of transmission steel structures and foundations using 3D analysis software.
