TL;DR

Field Service Tech I (Busbar): Assisting in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of hirify.global 480VAC electrical bus duct systems including iMPB, HPB, TOB and metering communications as well as mechanical repairs and modifications. Focus on evaluating operating conditions of equipment, providing first-time fixes, and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Location: Ashburn, VA, United States. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided. 80% travel required.

What you will do

  • Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems (iMPB, HPB, TOB, metering communications).
  • Perform mechanical repairs and modifications.
  • Evaluate operating conditions of equipment and strive for first-time fixes.
  • Maintain rapport with customers, co-workers and sales representatives.
  • Respond to emergency calls and manage your own schedule.
  • Provide accurate reporting of timecards, expenses and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; ASMET.
  • 1+ years hands-on electrical environment experience.
  • Basic training in electrical theory and technologies; knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude; standard computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license required; ability to pass drug test and background check.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception.
