What you will do

• Lead the research, development, and deployment of generative AI and agentic designs to solve grid challenges.
• Manage and mentor a team of ML engineers and applied researchers, providing deep technical guidance and design reviews.
• Architect Tapestry’s core agentic framework to enable reasoning across multiple data sources for all product offerings.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to build world-class ML pipelines for processing grid data at Google scale.
• Collaborate with Power Systems experts to ensure AI strategies are grounded in physical reality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of deep experience in machine learning model development and deployment.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership or people management role guiding ML-centric teams.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Jax/Flax.
• Experience with MLOps and deploying models on enterprise platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Must be based in Mountain View, CA for a hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in high-growth or "zero-to-one" environments.
• Track record of contributions to open-source ML projects or publications in top-tier conferences.
