What you will do

• Own revenue recognition across RaaS arrangements, review contracts for ASC 606 and ASC 842 compliance, and maintain scalable policies.
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and deployed robots, including counts, COGS, and fixed assets.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors, prepare PBC lists, draft technical memos, and support public filings.
• Lead monthly/quarterly close, reconciliations, flux analysis, and SOX control environment.
• Oversee AP/AR/payroll, transition to NetSuite, and partner cross-functionally on business decisions.
• Build and mentor the accounting team with scalable processes.

Requirements

• Location: Must be anywhere in the US
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 10+ years progressive experience, including 3+ years as Controller at a U.S. publicly traded company.
• Big 4/national firm + industry experience; ownership of external audits and technical defenses.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, inventory/cost accounting in hardware/manufacturing, GAAP, SOX 404.
• Hands-on with NetSuite and advanced Excel; excellent communication for memos and presentations.

Nice to have

• Controller experience at hardware/robotics/medical device company.
• Supporting subsidiary of public parent with consolidations.
• Familiarity with healthcare contracting.
