TL;DR
Commercial Counsel (Cybersecurity/SaaS): Managing a broad range of commercial transactions including customer deals and vendor agreements with an accent on risk management and business enablement. Focus on drafting and negotiating SaaS license agreements, SLAs, and partner contracts to accelerate deal cycles.
Location: Remote (Must have an active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction)
Salary: $160,000 — $190,000 base, plus equity

What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS license agreements, SLAs, Reseller and channel partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Manage vendor, supplier, and procurement contracts for IT, cloud infrastructure, and professional services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Procurement, IT, Security, and Finance on contract terms and negotiation strategies.
- Improve legal templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to drive scalability and efficiency.
- Support contract lifecycle management practices, approvals, and obligations tracking.
- Collaborate with Security and Privacy teams on data protection and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- J.D. (or equivalent) and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
- 2-6+ years of commercial legal experience, with a significant focus on in-house or tech/SaaS environments.
- Strong track record negotiating SaaS license agreements, SLAs, partner agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance.
- Ability to work remotely, manage multiple priorities, and partner cross-functionally.
Nice to have
- Experience negotiating DPAs, privacy/security addenda, or working with regulated industries.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
- Background in cybersecurity or other data-sensitive technology environments.
