What you will do
- Lead a team of Programme and Bid Managers, fostering a high-performance and accountable delivery culture.
- Oversee the health of the programme and bid portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer priorities.
- Manage the bid operating model, overseeing strategy, resourcing, and approval processes from capture to contract award.
- Prepare and present monthly programme status reports to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Ensure robust programme governance, controlling schedules, costs, risks, and benefits.
- Liaise with senior customers, subcontractors, and internal Engineering PM teams to refine requirements and execute plans.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in programme and bid management within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Practical experience within a Project Management environment, ideally in the defence sector.
- Professional qualifications such as APM, MSP, PMP, or PRINCE2.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and risk management capability.
- HND or degree level within Project Management or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to visit customer sites in the UK or overseas.
