What you will do
- Lead and grow a team of 20+ engineers, including managing other managers and supporting individual career growth.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leadership to define strategic goals and drive the product vision.
- Guide the entire project lifecycle from early ideation and planning through execution and post-launch.
- Foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Work across team boundaries to partner with other functions and solve complex customer problems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director-level engineering people manager with an entrepreneurial vision.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive action within complex problem spaces.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency.
- Experience collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment.
- Must be based in Canada time zones.
- Comfort with and curiosity about using AI-powered tools and integrating them into team workflows.
