Salary: $216,000 - $270,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Define and execute the engineering strategy for the collaborative web platform, aligning technical investments with product milestones.
- Lead, recruit, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and engineering managers.
- Drive architectural decisions for core systems, including real-time collaboration, branch-aware content state, and visual editing infrastructure.
- Own end-to-end delivery accountability, including planning, execution, quality, and iteration velocity.
- Partner with product, design, and executive leadership to translate vision into phased, deliverable roadmaps.
- Establish operational practices such as incident response, SLOs, and deployment cadence.
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles managing teams of engineers and managers.
- Proven track record of shipping products from early-stage through scale, ideally with zero-to-one experience.
- Fluency in full-stack product engineering, covering both frontend and backend concerns.
- Deep understanding of modern web platform architecture, cloud-native services (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with distributed systems design, specifically regarding collaborative state or event-driven data flows.
- Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with CMS, developer tooling, or web publishing platforms.
