What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for the collaborative web platform, aligning technical investments with product milestones.
• Lead, recruit, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and engineering managers.
• Drive architectural decisions for core systems, including real-time collaboration, branch-aware content state, and visual editing infrastructure.
• Own end-to-end delivery accountability, including planning, execution, quality, and iteration velocity.
• Partner with product, design, and executive leadership to translate vision into phased, deliverable roadmaps.
• Establish operational practices such as incident response, SLOs, and deployment cadence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles managing teams of engineers and managers.
• Proven track record of shipping products from early-stage through scale, ideally with zero-to-one experience.
• Fluency in full-stack product engineering, covering both frontend and backend concerns.
• Deep understanding of modern web platform architecture, cloud-native services (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with distributed systems design, specifically regarding collaborative state or event-driven data flows.
• Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
