Location: Remote (United States). Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.

What you will do

• Own high-volume docket of consumer arbitrations (JAMS), small claims, federal/state litigation, and customer complaints from intake to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, strategy memos, demand responses, and settlement correspondence independently.
• Assess claims, evaluate exposure, recommend and execute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with Customer Engagement, Compliance, Product, and Operations to identify dispute drivers and flag systemic issues.
• Maintain matter records, contribute to reporting/metrics, and supervise outside counsel on budgets/timelines.
• Assist on complex matters, class actions, ad hoc projects, and process/automation initiatives.

Requirements

• JD from accredited law school; admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (in good standing)
• At least 6 years litigation experience at law firm, in-house, or government in litigation role
• Exposure to consumer financial services, arbitrations, small claims, BBB complaints, or customer disputes
• Strong written/verbal communication; organized, self-directed for high-volume fast-paced docket
• Proactive mindset using law to expand company optionality; genuine interest in crypto/digital assets
• Experience deploying AI to enhance legal work

Nice to have

• In-house experience at fintech/crypto/high-growth tech/financial services company
• Familiarity with mass arbitration defense (AAA/JAMS/NAM), motions to compel arbitration, consumer class actions
• Knowledge of consumer protection frameworks (EFTA, UDAP, state statutes, privacy like CCPA/BIPA)
• Comfort with legal tech/tools, trial experience, e-discovery vendors, expert witnesses
• Experience in remote-first environment
