What you will do

• Analyze internal data and external evidence to drive public affairs strategy at local, national, and EU levels.
• Utilize advanced AI tools and LLMs to synthesize regulatory texts, parliamentary debates, and academic literature.
• Develop evidence-based narratives and data visualizations to strengthen external positioning with policymakers.
• Design and execute policy-focused studies using Python, R, and SQL to identify regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Manage third-party research projects with consultancies and academics to ensure analytical rigor.
• Contribute to building AI-enabled analytical capabilities and establishing best practices for responsible AI use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, economics, data science, or a related field with strong quantitative training.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, economics, or public policy.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, and experience with AI-enabled research and coding tools.
• Strong grounding in statistical methods, including regression analysis and causal inference.
• Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience with text-as-data techniques and exploring large text corpora.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through rigorous analysis and clear reasoning.
