TL;DR

Group Leader Technical Services I (Flight Simulators): Maintain and oversee all training equipment including full flight simulators and multi-media classrooms with an accent on FAA regulatory compliance, quality management, and safety systems. Focus on coordinating with federal authorities, performing corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure 98% availability, and providing technical guidance to technicians.

Location: Dothan, USA (onsite, any shifts)

What you will do

  • Coordinate with FAA for simulator compliance, manage waivers, and oversee Quality and Safety Management Systems.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on simulators and classrooms to maintain 98% availability.
  • Conduct daily preflight tests, support instructors, and assist in certification tests.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, perform fault isolation, and repair computers, interfaces, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians, interpret schematics, and implement basic simulator modifications.
  • Maintain documentation, track repairs, and ensure facility housekeeping for safety.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work any days/shifts to support training and maintenance.
  • Technical College Degree + 4 years related experience or equivalent in electronics, electro-mechanical, computer, aviation, or simulation technology.
  • Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in full flight simulator maintenance and operation.
  • Knowledge of aircraft flight trainer maintenance, Microsoft Office, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, troubleshoot complex problems, and work with various operating systems.
  • Physical demands: lift 40+ lbs overhead, climb ladders, stoop/bend/crawl, distinguish colors/sounds/odors, tolerate heat/noise/hazards.

Nice to have

  • Ability to read complex technical documents, calculate figures, understand numbering systems, and interpret performance charts.
  • Skill in defining problems, drawing conclusions, and interpreting customer requirements.
