What you will do
- Design, install, and continuously improve paint shop equipment and tooling to manufacture high-quality products.
- Define manufacturing processes, including sequence of operations, equipment parameters, and standard work.
- Lead the development and testing of advanced paint process technologies, materials, and robotics.
- Problem-solve performance issues by analyzing data, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Supervise assigned indirect process and production personnel as required by operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and energy usage.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing) with 1β3 years of experience OR 3β5 years of directly relevant paint/automation experience.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing with emphasis on paint shop operations (PT/ED, Sealer, Topcoat, Paint Mix Room).
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Capable of working all shifts, rotating schedules, and overtime including weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice to have
- Experience with DΓΌrr and/or Fanuc paint robot programming and optimization.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of Global Manufacturing System (GMS), lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 8D).
- Experience with PFMEA, control plan development, and layered process audits.
