Salary: $115,000 - $187,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the After Action Review (AAR) program end-to-end, from incident declaration through corrective action closure.
• Facilitate hotwash and post-mortem sessions with engineering leadership to identify root causes and corrective action plans.
• Own and drive the portfolio of continuous improvement projects and process reform initiatives across a globally distributed organization.
• Draft executive communications, CEO-level briefs, and business justifications for organizational capability investments.
• Manage program infrastructure and operational history in Jira and Confluence to ensure transparency and auditability.
• Champion the adoption of AI productivity tools like Claude Enterprise and GitHub Copilot to accelerate analysis and documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in program management, technical operations, or continuous improvement.
• Must be based in Deerfield, IL or San Francisco, CA.
• Proven experience owning post-incident review, AAR, or similar structured organizational learning programs.
• Executive-level writing proficiency, capable of producing CEO briefs and business proposals with minimal revision.
• Strong command of Atlassian Jira and Confluence for program and knowledge management.
• Comfort with and genuine interest in utilizing AI productivity tools (Claude, Copilot) for professional workflows.

Nice to have

• Military background with operations, staff, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in connected products, IoT, or software/hardware platform environments.
• Incident management experience in 24/7 connected product or platform environments.
• Familiarity with Business Continuity Plan (BCP) development for engineering organizations.
