Backend Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Mannheim, Germany (3 days/week on-site)

Salary: €17.00 - €22.00 / hour

What you will do

• Develop backend features using modern Java for the hirify.global HUB cloud platform.
• Write automated tests and maintain technical documentation following industry best practices.
• Own features end-to-end, from implementation and testing to supporting the roll-out with release notes.
• Collaborate on frontend development using React as an optional extension of the role.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university program (computer science or related fields).
• First experience in software development with object-oriented programming languages such as Java.
• Experience with backend development, ideally with Spring Boot.
• Understanding of API development and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of tasks.
