What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on GCP.
• Own the entire development lifecycle for new platform features, from technical design to deployment.
• Implement complex API integrations for Shopify to provide accounting value to customers.
• Monitor and optimize production environments to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members to foster engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep expertise in designing and consuming Shopify GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, PubSub).
• Must be based in the EU.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab), and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools and a drive to implement AI in the development process.

Nice to have

• Experience releasing embedded Shopify Apps (Polaris).
• Background in fast-paced SaaS environments.
• Domain knowledge in accounting or e-commerce industries.
