Fast-paced fully remote SaaS company automating accounting for E-Commerce (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce) and SaaS businesses to free entrepreneurs from manual bookkeeping.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on GCP.
  • Own full development lifecycle of new platform features, from technical design and requirement clarification to testing and deployment.
  • Tackle complex Shopify API integrations and business logic problems in accounting and e-commerce domains.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments for performance and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional backend development experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise; experience with AI coding tools and willingness to drive AI adoption.
  • Expertise in designing and consuming Shopify GraphQL APIs and complex third-party integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, PubSub).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills for navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., Gitlab), agile practices, code reviews, and clear team communication.

Nice to have

  • Released an embedded Shopify App using Polaris.
  • Experience in fast-paced SaaS environments.
  • Domain knowledge in accounting or e-commerce.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL) or NoSQL.
