TL;DR

Retail Field & Acquisition Manager (Retail): Driving growth of the physical retail presence by managing existing partner networks and acquiring new retail accounts with an accent on B2B relationship building and account optimization. Focus on expanding the retail footprint, training partner staff, and coordinating with independent sales representatives.

Location: Remote (Must be U.S.-based)

Compensation: Base up to $80K, Total OTE $95K–$110K

What you will do

  • Manage and grow existing retail partner networks through proactive outreach and engagement.
  • Identify, pitch, and close new retail accounts to expand the brand's physical footprint.
  • Train retail staff on product knowledge and sales techniques via virtual and in-person methods.
  • Support the Independent Sales Rep (ISR) network with onboarding and field infrastructure.
  • Optimize in-store presentation and assortment to maximize sell-through.
  • Maintain accurate partner records and pipeline activity within the CRM and Asana.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • 5-8 years of experience in territory management, account management, or B2B/B2B2C field sales.
  • Proven track record of opening new accounts and managing high-volume portfolios.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and project management tools like Asana.
  • Willingness to travel 20-30%.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for various stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the mattress, bedding, or home furnishings industry.
  • Existing relationships with furniture or mattress retailers.
  • Experience with trade shows (e.g., High Point Market, Las Vegas Market).
  • Experience managing 1099 independent sales representatives.
