What you will do

• Lead scientific project management, overseeing the Ciliopathies Flagship Programme and translating scientific goals into actionable roadmaps.
• Drive end-to-end grant management, including writing, reporting, budget tracking, and scouting for funding opportunities.
• Manage regulatory compliance, preparing documentation for animal models and human-derived cells, and handling MTAs and DTAs.
• Collaborate with the Computational Biology team to support the Scientific AI Flagship and procure AI infrastructure and licenses.
• Act as a central liaison between research teams, administrative offices, and external partners to ensure effective information flow.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and the maintenance of lab and institutional web content.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field (PhD is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, including experience in a leading role.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder projects.
• Prior experience working in or directly supporting an academic research institution.
• Knowledge of budget planning, grant management, and scientific reporting processes.
• Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications in project management.
• Experience with European competitive funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, ERC).
• Knowledge of Italian regulatory and ethical frameworks for biomedical research.
• Italian language skills or motivation to learn.
• Experience with and interest in AI tooling.
