TL;DR
Project Accountant (Defence) (IFRS/Project Finance): Managing end-to-end financials for a portfolio of Defence & Security projects in the Middle East with an accent on forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and cash-flow management. Focus on analysing project performance, modelling investment and pricing scenarios, applying IFRS 15, and supporting audits and project decision-making.
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; must be a KSA national

What you will do
- Manage monthly P&L and Balance Sheet forecasting in partnership with Project Managers during the Project Review Cycle.
- Monitor project financial performance and take action to improve gross margin and cash flow.
- Own and improve cost accounting, ledger reconciliations, and financial data accuracy.
- Support annual budgets, management accounts, statutory accounts, business planning, and investment risk evaluation.
- Prepare pricing, costing, financial models, scenarios, and cash-flow analyses for new opportunities and Engineering Change Proposals.
- Apply IFRS, including IFRS 15, and coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a KSA national; visa sponsorship is not offered.
- University degree in accounting or finance, or a recognised qualification such as CMA, CA, CGA, or ACCA.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
- Experience reconciling intercompany balances and transactions.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and practical experience applying IFRS 15.
Nice to have
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of local Government Price Law.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle systems.
