TL;DR

Development Engineer - Mechanical Design (Mechanical Engineering): Designing and developing mechanical components for wind turbines with an accent on robust welded structures and sheet metal components for industrial series production. Focus on creating manufacturing-ready solutions, managing technical requirements, and utilizing Siemens NX and Teamcenter for high-precision 3D modeling.

Location: Rostock, Germany. Hybrid work (up to 8 days of mobile work per month).

What you will do

  • Develop mechanical components methodically across the full product lifecycle.
  • Analyze and manage technical requirements in compliance with the Machinery Directive and HSE aspects.
  • Design welded structures and sheet metal components with a strong focus on manufacturability.
  • Create and evaluate design concepts to drive prototype build, testing, and serial production.
  • Support prototype validation and technical assessment of hardware testing results.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and 3D models using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development.
  • Proven experience in designing welded structures and manufacturing-oriented sheet metal components.
  • Solid knowledge of Machinery Directive and safety-driven development standards.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX) and PLM systems (Teamcenter).
  • Fluent English skills for effective work in international, cross-functional teams.
