Associate Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build, assemble, and rework mechanical prototypes and sub-assemblies from CAD designs.
• Design, construct, and operate test rigs and fixtures to validate mechanical performance.
• Execute and document structured test campaigns to inform design decisions.
• Contribute medium-complexity CAD design tasks and modifications to existing components.
• Support 3D printing and rapid prototyping workflows for internal review.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during prototyping and propose practical solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, or a Techniker/Meister qualification.
• 1-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in product development or R&D.
• Proven experience building, assembling, and testing mechanical hardware.
• Competence in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting using Autodesk Inventor or similar software.
• Practical knowledge of prototyping methods, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D printing (FDM and SLA).
• Familiarity with injection molding or serial manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to electrical engineering.
