What you will do

• Own first- and middle-mile transportation strategy, driving cost efficiency, service performance, and network flexibility
• Lead and develop a team of Managers overseeing procurement, planning, and daily operations
• Drive carrier procurement including RFPs, due diligence, contract negotiation, and SLA management
• Establish carrier scorecards for CPP, on-time performance, safety, and quality metrics
• Partner with Network Design to optimize routing, consolidation, scheduling, and injection strategies
• Collaborate with Finance to forecast and manage transportation spend while improving margins
• Oversee operational performance, implement improvement plans, support market launches, and present insights to executives

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or 3PL leadership
• Demonstrated experience managing third-party carrier ecosystems (asset-based and brokered)
• Proven success negotiating complex commercial agreements and competitive rate structures
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar transportation spend
• Hands-on experience with TMS platforms and logistics analytics tools
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service standards, and compliance frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (Master’s a plus)
