Behavior Therapist (LMSW, LCSW or LMHC)

Location: Clinic and/or school based in Monsey, NY and surrounding areas. Current and valid NYS license as LMSW, LCSW or LMHC required.

What you will do

• Provide individual therapy to clients with mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and social/behavioral issues.
• Conduct client intakes, determine needs, and develop treatment plans.
• Structure sessions using modalities like Play Therapy, Art Therapy, ERP, EMDR, Sand Tray, CBT, and DBT.
• Collaborate monthly with parents and as needed with care teams for comprehensive care.
• Maintain confidential records and document progress toward treatment goals.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Current and valid NYS license as LMSW, LCSW or LMHC.
• Experience working with children in a mental health setting.
• Experience with electronic health records and documentation systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Bilingual in Yiddish.
• Provide supervision to LMSWs (LCSW only).
