TL;DR

Senior Officer, Accounts & Payments (Corporate Banking): Managing domestic and cross-border payment services across Asia with an accent on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. Focus on resolving complex payment exceptions, ensuring AML/Sanctions compliance, and optimizing regional payment rails.

Location: Hybrid in Sydney, Australia. Working hours: 12:30pm to 9pm Monday to Friday to support Asia time zones.

What you will do

  • Process and manage domestic and cross-border payments using platforms such as SWIFT, RTGS, CHATS, and FPS.
  • Monitor end-to-end payment flows, resolving exceptions, breaks, and investigations promptly.
  • Support client onboarding and account setups, including payment channel configuration.
  • Ensure strict compliance with AML, Sanctions, and regulatory frameworks, escalating risks where required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced client experience.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in operations within Corporate, Wholesale, or Institutional Banking.
  • Hands-on knowledge of corporate banking systems and payment rails (SWIFT, RTGS, FPS, CNAPS, Direct Entry).
  • Deep understanding of corporate payments and account products.
  • Willingness and ability to work 12:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy under strict deadlines.
