TL;DR
Director, Community Stewardship (Nonprofit): Leading efforts to build and nurture meaningful relationships and ensure members feel valued and supported with an accent on relationship management, member services, and community support. Location: Remote, with required on-site work in Arlington, VA (35%) and travel as needed
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000

What you will do
- Hire, coach, and develop a team to meet long-term community goals and objectives.
- Create and oversee regional community groups (virtual and in-person) to foster engagement and peer learning.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase member retention and acquisition.
- Gather community insights through surveys and focus groups to shape strategic decisions.
- Nurture strategic relationships with industry leaders and external partners to expand community influence.
- Travel to industry conferences and member events to build rapport and advocacy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall experience, including 7+ years in community engagement or member relationship strategies.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including hiring and performance management.
- 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA (35%) and travel.
- Strong public speaking, analytical, and project management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience developing and managing regional or affinity-based networks or chapters.
- Familiarity with digital platforms and tools that support community engagement and online forums.
