What you will do

• Design and optimize electrical topologies to reduce cost and increase scalability for high-density AI compute.
• Develop basis-of-design documents, single-line diagrams, and power system studies including load flow and short circuit analysis.
• Lead technical evaluations of equipment vendors, manufacturers, and design consultants.
• Evaluate AC and DC power distribution options for liquid-cooled GPU rack deployments.
• Drive FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing for critical infrastructure and rack deployments.
• Operate an R&D program to validate new equipment, telemetry, and facility-to-hardware interactions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities such as data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, and protection systems.
• Experience producing electrical designs, commissioning plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and utility coordination.
• Must be based in or able to work in San Francisco, USA, with periodic travel to data center campuses.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of relevant experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Direct experience with hyperscale data centers, GPU clusters, or liquid-cooled compute environments.
• Experience qualifying new electrical products from prototype through manufacturing ramp.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or reliability analytics platforms.
