What you will do
- Lead the introduction of new liquid-cooled products to market, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and quality.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including purging, cleaning, pressure testing, and filling procedures for liquid cooling systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineering teams to implement DFM principles across sheet metal, plastics, and thermal components.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality and process issues at contract manufacturers using 8D methodology.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to NPI engineers and manufacturing personnel regarding liquid cooling solutions.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain version control within PLM systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical NPI Engineer with expertise in prototype and production-level DFM.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in scaled manufacturing of liquid cooling thermal solutions (cold plates, CDUs, AALCs).
- Proficiency with PLM systems (Agile or Propel preferred) and ECO/MCO/PCN processes.
- Strong background in debugging electro-mechanical systems and applying 8D failure analysis.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA and capable of working onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
Nice to have
- Experience with L11 level integration and testing of liquid-cooled products.
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable handling and integration.
- Familiarity with facility-level power and cooling requirements.
- Experience reviewing PCB layout files in Allegro.
- Proficiency in CREO MCAD.
