System Safety Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and update systems safety analyses (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, PRAs) at aircraft, system, and ground segment levels.
• Lead technical discussions within the Design Organization and with systems suppliers from the Safety Department.
• Define safety-critical requirements and develop risk mitigation measures for aircraft systems.
• Create and maintain program-level safety documentation, including system safety program plans and hazard logs.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP 4754A.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a Safety Engineer or equivalent engineering background.
• M.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Physics.
• Proven experience in safety analyses for complex aeronautical systems.
• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish and German are highly recommended depending on the job location.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model at one of the specified office locations.
