What you will do

• Plan and execute the System Safety Program (SSP) in accordance with MIL-STD-882E and AOP-52.
• Conduct formal safety analyses, including PHA, SSHA, SHA, O&SHA, and FMEA/FMEDA for hardware and software.
• Implement and verify functional safety requirements for electronic systems following IEC 61508.
• Prepare Safety Cases, Safety Assessment Reports (SAR), and justifications for NATO customer acceptance.
• Act as the safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) during design reviews and acceptance boards.
• Manage OHS compliance under German Occupational Safety Law (ASiG) for ordnance handling.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in System, Functional, or Product Safety within defense or aerospace.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Safety, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in MIL-STD-882, AOP-50 series, and IEC 61508.
• High proficiency (C1/C2) in both English and German.
• Willingness to undergo security clearance checks (ZÜP).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EASA safety standards for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
