What you will do
- Lead and oversee school fee collections to meet or exceed targets across South Africa and Kenya.
- Manage external debt collection agencies and credit bureaus for bad debt recovery and credit checks.
- Oversee the customer contact center operations using Zendesk to resolve parent fee disputes and queries.
- Collaborate with school leadership and finance teams to improve billing accuracy and risk mitigation.
- Develop and manage the Foundation's bursary framework, eligibility criteria, and award process.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Global Parent Fees Support team through regular feedback and goal setting.
Requirements
- Must be based in South Africa or Kenya.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or BComm with majors in accounting or management accounting.
- Kenya: CPA (K) or equivalent (ACCA, CA) certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a debt collection team with 1,000+ retail customers.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a customer-facing call center team.
- Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Nice to have
- Experience in the primary, secondary, or tertiary private education sector.
- Experience managing international or remote teams.
