Principal Software Engineer (Node.js/React)

Salary: CAD$180,000 - $220,000 DOE + Annual Bonus + Benefits

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership on high-impact initiatives and critical path work across multiple teams
• Unblock complex technical challenges spanning systems, teams, or domains
• Lead architecture and system design for scalability, simplicity, and maintainability
• Conduct deep code reviews and enforce high standards for quality, performance, and reliability
• Drive technical consistency, best practices, and engineering effectiveness
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute code in high-risk areas

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 15+ years building and scaling full-stack applications
• Proven principal-level experience influencing multiple teams or large systems
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript; strong React and front-end architectures
• System design, distributed systems, API architecture; high-scale production systems
• CI/CD, testing, DevOps; AWS, Docker, Linux, SQL and relational DB design
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and/or the U.S.
