What you will do
- Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and lead engineering efforts in a fully distributed microservices architecture.
- Lead a multidisciplinary squad of backend, frontend, and QA engineers, managing tech refinements and productivity.
- Design and implement highly available RESTful APIs, integrations with 3rd-party vendors, and reusable code libraries.
- Enforce observability with logging, metrics, alerting; create technical documentation; monitor for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-team to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years professional experience, including 2+ years in leadership role
- Expert in designing distributed systems, understanding trade-offs like consistency vs. availability
- Strong ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Go and/or Python
- Deep SQL (PostgreSQL) expertise: transaction isolation, locking, schema migrations at scale
- Strong Kafka experience for asynchronous workflows; AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS), Docker/Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and infrastructure-as-code mentality
